Iran Seized Two Oil Tankers In The Persian Gulf

Iran has detained two tankers on suspicion of fuel smuggling in the Persian Gulf. This was reported by the Iranian news agency Fars, close to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

An inspection of the vessels revealed more than 1 million liters of smuggled fuel, the Iranian military said.

The vessels were carrying 15 crew members, who are foreign nationals, the report said. They were handed over to representatives of the judicial authorities to initiate criminal proceedings, the agency pointed out.
