US Envoy To NATO: We Will Provide Ukraine With Offensive Weapons Until There Is Peace

This is necessary for two reasons.
U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO Matthew Whitaker has said that Washington will provide Kiev with offensive weapons until a peace agreement is signed.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine citing Whitaker's statement aired on the Newsmax TV channel.
"For as long as it takes to conclude a peace agreement, we will continue to sell our weapons to NATO allies, and they, in turn, will supply them mainly to Ukraine," he said.
He said Ukraine needs it, first, for air and missile defense, and second, to obtain offensive weapons to continue fighting and ensure that Russia does not occupy it.
Whitaker noted that the United States within NATO needs to maintain the unity of the coalition and strengthen allies.
"Because it is this strength that will ultimately guarantee peace, so that after the end of this war we will not face a new invasion of the European continent," the U.S. ambassador emphasized.
