Belarusian Comedian Yevgeny Smorigin Received Ukrainian Citizenship

In order to do so, I had to pass a Ukrainian language exam.
Belarusian actor, TV presenter, scriptwriter and producer Evgeny Smorigin has been granted Ukrainian citizenship, writes Radye Svaboda.
"I am already a Ukrainian too. I have already been given citizenship," Yevgeny Smorigin said in a video posted on his Facebook page by Kiev-based esotericist Andrei Duiko.
Yevgeny Smorigin earlier said he passed a Ukrainian language exam to obtain Ukrainian citizenship. He has been living in Ukraine for more than 15 years, married to a Ukrainian citizen, with whom he is raising three children.
In Belarus he was a KVN participant, hosted several entertainment projects on the state TV channel ONT - in 2009 he received the state award "Televershina" in the nomination "Best presenter of a music and entertainment program".
Has acted in feature films and hosted programs on Russian TV channels.
In Ukraine, since 2015, he has participated in the projects of "Diesel Studio" - a creative association of former members of Ukrainian KVN teams.
