The Ukrainian president said he was "used to it".
Amid the ongoing war, the issue of the Ukrainian leadership's personal security remains one of the key issues, and Russian pressure attempts go far beyond military action.
According to Le Monde.
Russia has repeatedly attempted to liquidate Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. According to him, the threat has become a regular part of life, which over time he had to get used to.
"When we talk about fear, you know, Russia has already tried to liquidate me several times. In a way, I no longer have the fear that I had at the beginning of the war. I'm used to it, it's part of my life," he said.
Dialogue with Russia and Europe's position
Separately, Zelensky commented on the topic discussed in Europe about the possible resumption of dialog with Moscow. According to him, the pressure on Russian dictator Vladimir Putin remains insufficient, and any negotiations are possible only if certain conditions are met.
"Putin is interested in humiliating Europe," the Ukrainian president said.
He emphasized that talking to Russia without real leverage will not lead to results and can only strengthen the Kremlin's position.
Attempts on Ukraine's leadership
In 2024, Zelensky reported that, according to intelligence and special services, there were about ten attempts to assassinate him by the Russian Federation at that time. In addition, Russia made assassination attempts on other members of the country's top leadership.
In particular, the former head of Ukraine's Security Service Vasyl Malyuk said that two Iskander-type missiles were used to hit the command center where he was headed. According to him, there were considerably more such attempts, which indicates the systemic nature of such actions.
