After the U.S. Department of Homeland Security units seized the Venezuela-linked tanker Marinera, which was traveling under the Russian flag, on January 7, Z-propagandists cannot decide on their position.

Part of propagandists, experts note, suddenly began to prove that the U.S. side acted within its authority, and the story itself is "not so unambiguous."

At the same time, a new narrative emerged in the Russian Federation: most of the crew were Ukrainians, not Russian citizens, so "the hysteria is exaggerated."

Some propagandists did not accept this and "went on the attack against their own" - they accused their colleagues of "betrayal," "softening their position" and working for someone else's agenda.

"In fact, we have a classic situation: there is a methodology, but there is no coordinated explanation, because of which the propaganda field falls apart simply in real time," says the SPRAVDI publication.
