Russians In The Kherson Region Have Boats Failing En Masse

Command suggests sabotage.

According to the information of partisans, the Russian military in the Kherson direction deliberately spoil their boats. It is reported that sabotage occurs when the equipment is needed to enter the waters of the Dnieper.

A probable sabotage of the occupants in the Kherson region was reported on January 8 in Telegram by the guerrilla movement "ATESH" with reference to agents among the servicemen of the 92 brigade of river boats of the Russian Armed Forces. Russian servicemen told the guerrillas that the Russian Armed Forces command suspects its own subordinates of deliberately damaging equipment.

The above brigade is part of the reconstituted Dnepr River Flotilla and is subordinate to the Russian Black Sea Fleet.

"Interestingly, the equipment fails just when it is most needed for access to the waters of the Dnieper. Russian counterintelligence no longer believes in normal wear and tear and is frantically searching for those who help the engines to 'fall asleep' and the wiring to 'spontaneously combust,'" ATESH said.

According to the partisans, Russian commanders suspect the crews of the boats of breaking their own boards deliberately to avoid becoming targets for the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"We in ATESH only observe this process ... and sometimes suggest where the equipment is most 'vulnerable'. What the occupants consider sabotage due to fear, we call professional preparation for 'long-term repair'," the representatives of the guerrilla movement noted.
