Kadyrov Appeared In Public With A Cane

Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov made his first public appearance in recent times, following reports of his hospitalization, at the opening of a hafiz school in the village of Novy Sharoi in Chechnya. He came with a cane.

Kadyrov himself said the event took place on December 3, as confirmed by the video's metadata. However, as early as December 31, his advisor spoke of the school as being ready to open, so the event took place this year.

It is noted that this is not the first time he has appeared with a cane: in March 2024, he was already seen in such a form in a video published by the press service, amid rumors of his deteriorating health.

The December 31 edition of Novaya Gazeta, citing sources, reported that Kadyrov had planned to attend the traditional New Year's Eve meeting of the Russian State Council and flew to Moscow on December 24, but on the night of December 25, his health condition dramatically deteriorated and he was brought by intensive care vehicle to the Central Clinical Hospital of the Russian Presidential Administration.
