Among them are the Defense Ministry and the Maduro regime's top military authorities.

Satellite images of the sites hit by U.S. aircraft during the operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro have been posted online.

The photo was published by Business Insider military correspondent Jake Epstein. Images from Vantor show the results of a U.S. airstrike on Venezuela's main military facility, the Fuerte Tiuna complex.

U.S. forces struck strategic buildings that house the Defense Ministry and the Maduro regime's top military authorities.

Satellite imagery confirmed the complete destruction of warehouses and guard posts at the entrances to the base. The footage also confirmed the destruction of military equipment, vehicles and air defense equipment.

A Buk-M2EK surface-to-air missile system at the La Carlota airbase was among the targets destroyed.

It is noted that for the special operation the US used fighter jets, reconnaissance aircraft, drones and strategic air force bombers.

The publication noted that the priority defeat of Venezuela's air defenses allowed the Americans to implement the second stage of the special operation. In particular, the suppression of air defenses cleared the airspace for helicopter groups, which in turn ensured the landing of assault units in the fortified area and the capture of Maduro.

The journalist emphasized that an important success factor was also the suddenness of the attack, which paralyzed the attempts of Venezuelan military units to resist the Americans.

Pentagon officials said that the immediate phase of the capture of Maduro lasted only 30 minutes. Such lightning-fast action allowed to avoid losses among the U.S. personnel and aircraft.
