German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro "has brought his country to ruin."

He wrote this on social media X, commenting on the US operation in Venezuela.

"Nicolas Maduro has brought his country to ruin. The last election was rigged. Like many other countries, we did not recognize his presidency. Maduro has played a problematic role in the region," Merz said.
