Reuters: Ukrainians Need To Hold Out For Three Weeks

It'll get easier later.
The next three weeks will be difficult for Ukrainians due to falling temperatures and energy infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes. Russian shelling has deprived millions of people of light and heat.
According to Reuters.
Form forecasters expect temperatures below -20°, extremely low for the country, as early as next week in northern and eastern Ukraine.
"The bad news is that the frost will really come and it will be difficult. The good news is that we need to hold out for three weeks, then it will be easier," Andrey Gerus, chairman of the parliamentary energy committee, said.
The politician explained that the situation could improve due to warming and an increase in solar energy production due to longer daylight hours.
Massive Energy Strikes
The last two massive Russian attacks on Kiev in January left about a million people without light and six thousand apartment buildings without heating. After weeks of repair work, about 700 are still without heat.
The publication notes that a similar pattern is being repeated across the country. In particular, the north and east of the country, where major cities such as Kiev, Kharkiv, Chernihiv and Sumy are located, are regularly under attack. This leads to power supply restrictions for industry and blackouts for consumers.
Attacks on power plants, the energy transmission system and the gas sector have long been key elements of Russia's full-scale invasion. Moscow claims it seeks to blow up Ukraine's military capability.
