Representatives of the shoe holding company held a working meeting with a delegation from this country.

Belarusian footwear manufacturer Belvest may start sewing army and tactical shoes for the Ministry of Defense of Myanmar, according to a message in the Telegram channel of Bellegprom. Representatives of the footwear holding Luch and Belvest held a working meeting with a delegation from that republic, "Euroradio" reports.

"At the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of supplying modern army and tactical footwear produced in Belarus, <.. > high quality and reliability of products that meet the strict requirements of law enforcement agencies," Bellegprom said in a statement.

Reminder, in Myanmar in February 2021, there was a military coup. The leaders of the country were arrested, the power passed to the military structures. The country is still in a civil war, but the other day there were held the first parliamentary elections since the coup. The UN criticized them, calling them an attempt to legitimize the junta's power, writes Deutsche Welle.

Two weeks ago it became known that Belvest was recognized economically insolvent. Instead of bankruptcy, the company was put into rehabilitation for a period of 36 months. This procedure should ensure the effective operation of the legal entity and restore its solvency.

Probably, in an attempt to cope with the critical situation, a specific partner was found for the legendary manufacturer of Belarusian footwear, which is emphasized in the message "Bellegprom" as a "respected partner".
