Dozens of houses in Vitsebsk were left without heating and hot water at night on January 31 due to a break in the heating network. The accident was reported in "Vitebskenergo".
The company noted that the batteries in the houses got cold "due to the elimination of a defect in the heating network of 700 mm diameter in the area of M. Gorky Street.

In the evening of January 30, specialists carried out defect inspection of the damaged section, as well as excavation work and preparatory measures for the subsequent elimination of the accident to reduce the time of lack of heat in the homes of district residents.
About midnight, power engineers began to disconnect heat supply and preparation for welding work to replace the damaged section of the heating network.
"Repair work will be carried out at night. Their completion is scheduled for the morning of January 31. Hot water supply and heating will be restored to all consumers," promised in "Vitebskenergo.
