A Missile Strike Damaged A Factory Of The US Company Philip Morris Near Kharkiv

On January 30, a part of the factory of the American company Philip Morris near Kharkiv was damaged as a result of an overnight missile strike. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the press service of the tobacco company.
"Most importantly, according to preliminary information, there are no casualties. All personnel on duty were in shelter. The company is in constant contact with the emergency services and provides the necessary assistance," the media quoted Philip Morris as saying.
The company also emphasized that they continue to fulfill their obligations "to the state, partners and consumers," and the details of the incident will be clarified additionally.
The Ukrainian State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Region (SSES) published a photo of the aftermath of a missile strike on a warehouse building in Telegram. The message does not specify the name of the enterprise, but it is likely that it is about the Philip Morris factory.
"Russian occupation troops launched a missile attack on the warehouse building of a civilian enterprise in the suburbs of Kharkiv: there was a large-scale fire of more than 5 thousand square meters. Significant damage was caused to the building structures. Preliminarily, there were no casualties", - stated in the message of rescuers.
According to RBC-Ukraine, the work of the Kharkiv factory Philip Morris was stopped since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022. In 2024, the company opened a new factory in Lviv region, investing $30 million and relocating 250 employees from Kharkiv.
