Journalists Have Pointed Out The Kremlin's Paranoia

  • 28.01.2026, 13:51

Putin is afraid of ordinary Russians.

Russians who were previously allowed to participate in Putin's ceremony of laying flowers at the Mother Motherland monument at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery were not on the Kremlin's timeline this time. Last year, they were moved away from the Russian ruler, "Agency" noted.

The Kremlin published a video of the traditional laying of flowers on the day of the end of the siege of Leningrad at the cemetery in St. Petersburg. It shows that this time the ceremony had no spectators: only military and officials took part in it.

The spectators were moved away from the president last year. If in 2024 during Putin's laying of flowers they stood on a side path of the central alley, in 2025 they were moved to one of the alleys between the mass graves. Thus, the distance between the president and people for a year increased more than three times - from about 10 meters to 35.

The footage of the dictator walking along the central alley also does not show spectators. Last year Putin waved at them while walking down the alley.
