Light outages were recorded in 227 settlements.
Heavy snow, gusty winds and icing led to large-scale power outages across the country. Over the past 24 hours, power outages were recorded in 227 settlements. Hrodna, Homel and Minsk voblasts suffered the most.
The main reason is damaged power lines. The wires are torn due to the sticking of wet snow and ice, said in "Belenergo".
Energetics have switched to round-the-clock mode. According to the morning of January 28, 19 emergency teams - about 60 specialists and 20 units of equipment - are involved in the restoration of power supply. The work continues without interruption, while the situation is monitored in real time.
Energetics separately appeal to Belarusians to be careful. If you notice broken or sagging wires:
do not approach them closer than 8 meters;
immediately inform the emergency services by short numbers 115 or 144.
