A new poll conducted from January 19 to 24 by Zavecz Research shows that the opposition Tisa party has 49% support, up from 47% in November.
At the same time, Fidesz received 39% of the vote, compared to 38% in November.

Tisza mainly has an advantage among voters with higher education, as well as city dwellers. In Hungary's capital, the opposition party has twice as many voters, 44% versus 21%, according to the poll.

Orban has previously said he is not afraid of losing the next election, and said he considers Brussels, not opposition leader Peter Madjar, to be his main rival.
