The Ministry of Health said that Belarus is expected to see an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory infections in the coming weeks.

According to Deputy Chief Physician for Epidemiology of the Republican Center of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health Alla Dashkevich, now in Belarus the situation on ARI is typical for this period of the year. However, the representative of the Ministry of Health warned that the morbidity rate could go up.

- The indicators are within the average multi-year values, but in the coming weeks we expect an increase in the number of the sick," she said.

Dashkevich also said that, according to laboratory monitoring, the H3N2 influenza virus, single influenza B viruses and non-influenza respiratory viruses are actively circulating in Belarus at the moment.
