Belarusians Can Be Debited Up To Br900 From Their Cards Without Warning

Since this year, a law has come into force in Belarus, which can "get rid" of some amounts on the bank cards of Belarusians.

It is about the application of a simplified procedure of enforcement proceedings.

According to Myfin, if the amount of the debt is up to 20 basic units (now - 900 rubles) and there are no other enforcement proceedings on money, the fine will be written off directly from the bank card or account - without court and notifications.

The offenders have two months for voluntary repayment. In the first month it is necessary to pay at least 30% of the amount, and in the second month - to close the balance in full.

"Failure to comply? Standard measures come into force: seizure of property, ban on travel abroad or temporary restriction of rights," noted in the Main Department of Justice of Gomel Regional Executive Committee.

Belarusians with fines will also face a compulsory fee of 10% of the fine, but not less than 0.5 basic (22.5 rubles).

And such rules apply not only to traffic fines (traffic violations, recorded by cameras), but also to other small debts.
