Meteosondes Flew Into Poland From Belarus

January 17 and 18, meteorological probes with smuggled cigarettes worth 990 thousand zlotys (234 thousand euros), which "flew" into the country from Belarus, were found in Poland. This was reported by the Polish Border Guard Service.

"Cigarettes with the Belarusian excise stamp, with an estimated value of almost 990 thousand zlotys, smuggled from Belarus to Poland with the help of weather balloons. Border Guard officers are conducting procedural actions in the case of smuggling of tobacco products," said the border guard.

They added that the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border is under full control.
