Big photo report.

Warsaw hosted the presentation of the book by the famous American writer Yuri Felshtinsky "Natallia Radzina's Belarus. Journalist against the dictator". The Andrzej Wajda Center, where the event was held on January 16, was crowded. The meeting, which gathered opposition politicians, Belarusian, Ukrainian and Polish journalists, as well as foreign diplomats, lasted almost three hours. The event was moderated by the pastor of the Belarusian Catholics in Warsaw, priest Vyacheslav Barok.

Yuri Felshtinsky told why he, an American writer, was interested in the topic of Belarus. The historian believes that our country is a key point in Europe, and the elimination of Lukashenko's regime can stop the war in Ukraine. Also, Yuri Felshtinsky explained why he chose Natallia Radzina as the main heroine of the book. The editor-in-chief of Charter97.org, according to him, opened his eyes to the correct understanding of the history of Belarus and helped him realize that the Belarusians are a European people, who have never focused on Russia, but fought for their freedom for centuries.

Natallia Radzina believes that Yuri Felshtinsky's book is important for preserving the memory of the Belarusian resistance. On the pages of the book one can find references to the key events of the modern history of Belarus, and most importantly - the people who fought for the freedom of the country, many of whom are no longer with us.

But, as the host of the event Vyacheslav Borok emphasized, "Natallia Radzina's Belarus" is not a memoir, but a book that forms a vision of the future of free Belarus - a European country that will become a part of NATO and the EU.

At the end of the meeting everyone could buy the book for a symbolic donation for politically repressed Belarusians.

In the near future the site Charter97.org will present a detailed report from the meeting.
