A large-scale fire broke out in the town of Voskresensk, Moscow Region, at one of Russia's largest chemical plants - the Voskresensk Mineral Fertilizers enterprise. The facility is considered a strategic element of the Russian defense industry, writes nv.ua.
According to OSINT communities in Telegram, the fire occurred in the sulfuric acid production shop. There is thick smoke over the city, residents report a strong smell of burning with a chemical taste, burning in the throat and tearing in the eyes.
The company plays an important role in supplying the Kremlin's war machine, which is especially relevant amid the full-scale war launched by Russian dictator Putin against Ukraine.
On January 16, another fire was reported in the town of Serpukhov, Moscow Region, when an electrical substation caught fire, causing a large-scale blackout in half of the town.
