Ukraine's Energy Sector Is In Emergency Mode

An emergency regime will be officially introduced in the energy sector of Ukraine. The new Minister of Energy Denis Shmygal has been appointed to head the work to support people and territorial communities. Special attention is now focused on the situation in Kiev, where the consequences of systematic Russian attacks and a significant deterioration of weather conditions have created a critical load on the networks, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in Telegram.

To stabilize the situation, the president has identified several key steps:

Create a permanent headquarters: a special coordination center will be created in Kiev, which will work around the clock to promptly manage the city's energy supply.

International support: officials should m Volodymyr Zelensky noted that he expects proposals from the Ministry of Education and Science and local authorities regarding the formats of education for the duration of the emergency.
