Not All "Oreshnik" Could Have Been Brought To Belarus

What is known.

Despite the statements of Alexander Lukashenko and the Ministry of Defense about the arrival and placement on combat duty of the tactical missile system Oreshnik, there is no confirmation of this. It would be logical to send the complex to our country by rail, but this has not been recorded, reports the "Community of Railwaymen of Belarus."

Lukashenko said on December 18 that the Russian missile system "Oreshnik" was in Belarus and put on combat duty. He noted that it was not placed "in any Slutsk" but was put "where it is more profitable." Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin promised to show "Oreshnik" when it would be put on combat duty. As a result, on December 30, the Defense Ministry reported that "the Oreshnik missile division began to perform combat duty in designated areas on the territory of our country."

The intended location was the Krichev airfield ("Krichev-6") in the Mogilev region - construction is underway there and the railroad station has been fully restored, researchers noted.

The community of railroaders conducted their own analysis and emphasize that "experts note the absence of the complex launcher directly among the demonstrated equipment." According to them, all official videos about "Oreshnik" in Belarus show only three types of vehicles involved in the maintenance of the complex: a communications vehicle, an armored vehicle "Typhoon" and, presumably, a combat support vehicle. At the same time, the division may number about a dozen vehicles.

But it would be logical to deliver the shown large-size equipment to Belarus by rail. According to the association, it was so - the machines were delivered to "Krichev-6" in the tentative period from December 18 to 20, 2025 through the interstate junction point Poniatovka (Russian Railways) - Shesterovka (BelZhD). But there were no other such cargoes.

"In favor of the fact that self-propelled launchers of the medium-range ballistic missile (MRBM) Oreshnik, which are part of the mobile ground-launched missile system (GRMS), were not imported into the territory of the Republic of Belarus, the absence of recorded information on the movement of oversized cargoes from the territory of the Russian Federation to Belarus in November-December 2025 testifies."

"Having dimensions of approximately 17.0×3.4×4.0 meters, this cargo falls into the category of oversized cargo, which requires compliance with separate conditions of passage and passage through the section," say railway experts.

That is, the fact of import and deployment of combat missile systems MRBM "Oreshnik", including launchers, on the territory of Belarus has not been documented and actually confirmed. Only the arrival of auxiliary and supporting equipment, not related to the combat means of the complex, has been recorded.

At the same time, the association notes the extensive work on the construction of the railway architecture on the territory of the 1405th artillery ammunition base (v/h 42 707) near the village of Bolshaya Gorozha, Osipovichi district. Reportedly, the customer for the construction is the Federal Enterprise "Office of the customer of capital construction of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation". At the same time, there is already an active removal of the base's ammunition to the Russians due to the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
