Explosions went off in Kharkiv on the night of January 13, the Air Force notified of the movement of a large number of drones in the region, and Mayor Igor Terekhov urged people to stay in shelters until the alarm went off.

A suburb of Kharkiv was also attacked by the enemy on the night of January 13 - there was a fire. The strike came after it was announced that high-speed targets were approaching the city, with several areas facing ballistic threats beforehand.

The enemy shelling killed two people and wounded several others. One person has an acute stress reaction, the rest are being treated by medics.

The Russians regularly hit civilians in Kharkiv and the region, critical infrastructure is also targeted. The enemy is thus trying to force Ukraine to surrender and make territorial concessions, among which the surrender of Kharkiv is one of Moscow's conditions and priorities.

The Ukrainian government, however, is uncompromising on this issue. Even at the US suggestion, in the first-priority version of the peace plan, where it was stated that Kharkiv region should go under the control of the Russian Federation, this option was not considered at all.

Now there are heavy battles in Kharkiv region in many settlements, but the Defense Forces are not giving up and are fighting the occupier for every kilometer of Ukrainian territory.
