UK To Finance Production Of A Thousand Long-range Drones For Ukraine

The UK will finance the production of a thousand long-range drones for the Ukrainian military within a year. British Defense Minister John Gili said this during a Ramstein meeting on Tuesday, September 9, writes "Interfax-Ukraine".
"Over the next 12 months, the UK will fund thousands of long-range attack drones, which we will manufacture in the UK and deliver to Ukraine," said Gili.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the launch of a new deep strike initiative and increased German support for the procurement of long-range drones with Ukraine's defense industry.
"Germany will launch a new deep strike initiative and increase its support for the procurement of long-range drones with Ukraine's defense industry. As part of this initiative, we are concluding a number of contracts with Ukrainian companies totaling 300 million euros," he added.
Pistorius said the contracts provide for the delivery of several thousand Ukrainian-made long-range drones of various types. The contracts "are flexible and contain options to increase the quantity."
