The Belarusian footballer moved to the Polish club.
Belarusian striker Ilya Shkurin, who left Legia Warsaw, gave his first interview as a player of GKS Katowice, writes football.by:
- Ilya, welcome to Katowice. What are your first impressions after your arrival in the capital of Upper Silesia?
- Very positive, I like this city very much. Immediately arrived at the stadium. Super!
- How did you end up at GKS and why did you choose the club from Katowice?
- I didn't have much playing time last season at Legia, and when I had a chance, the coach of GKS called me and told me about the style of play of the team and how he sees me in it. I liked it and convinced me, and here I am.
- What goals, individual and team, do you set for yourself for this season?
- I don't like to talk about individual goals. As for the team, I would like it to be higher than last season. Because the guys have been playing together for a long time, and it would be a great goal for them to be as high as possible in the table.
- You've been in Poland for a long time, but do you need time to "acclimatize" in Katowice?
- As they say, it's a different Poland here. But they still speak the same language. There will be no problems.
