The upper floors of the building are on fire.

The Russians attacked the Cabinet building for the first time since the beginning of the war, resulting in a fire, with rescuers working at the scene.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko reported this.

"This night Russia carried out another massive strike on Ukraine. Kiev, Krivoy Rog, Dnipro, Kremenchug and Odessa came under fire. Thus, for the first time due to the enemy attack the Government building, roof and upper floors were damaged. Rescuers are putting out the fire. Thank them for their work," Sviridenko said.

She also emphasized that all buildings will be restored, but the lost lives will not be returned.

"The world should respond to these destructions not only with words, but with actions. We need increased sanctions pressure - first of all against Russian oil and gas. We need new restrictions that will hit the Kremlin's war machine," the Prime Minister added.

According to the published photos, a helicopter of the State Emergency Situations Service was brought in to extinguish the fire.
