The Duchess of Kent Catherine Lucy Mary Worsley, the oldest member of the British royal family, has died at the age of 92. This was reported by Buckingham Palace.
Duchess Catherine of Kent died on the evening of September 4 at Kensington Palace surrounded by her family.
"The King and Queen and all members of the Royal Family join the Duke of Kent, his children and grandchildren in mourning," Buckingham Palace said.
The Duchess of Kent, who was born in Yorkshire on February 22, 1933. She gave up the royal title in 2002 and worked as a music teacher at a mainstream school.
In recent years, she has rarely appeared in public, and did not attend the funeral of Elizabeth II or the coronation of Charles III.
