Polish Foreign Ministry Called The Actions Of Lukashenko's Regime A Provocation

  • 5.09.2025, 8:21

Poland investigates the information of propagandists about the detention of a Pole in Belarus.

Polish Foreign Ministry believes that detention of a Pole in Belarus for "espionage" may be a provocation. This was stated by Deputy Polish Foreign Minister Rafal Bosacki, reports Polsatnews.

Rafal Bosacki said that the information about the detention of a Pole in Belarus is currently being investigated by the Ministry.

"Of course, it could be a provocation, it could be a fabrication. [...] I am not surprised that the Belarusian authorities are again trying to undermine Polish-Belarusian relations with provocations. [...] We have seen many such cases, let's see how true the words are this time," he added.

At the same time, he admitted that Poland and NATO countries are concerned about the West-2025 exercises.

"The scale and options for practicing the exercises are under close scrutiny," he said.

Bosatsky recalled the visit of Donald Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg to Minsk and expressed hope for "some unblocking of the situation" with Minsk.

"If they do such things (We are talking about the detention of a Polish citizen, - Ed.), it also says something. They are sending a signal. It's not a good signal," he concluded.

We will remind, on September 4, the state TV channel "First Informational" reported that in Lepel (Vitebsk region) detained a Polish citizen Gzhegosz Havel on suspicion of "espionage."
