The president also viewed a composition dedicated to the brigade's fallen commander Mikhail Gudkov.

Mikhail Gudkov's death - what is known

Reminder that on the evening of July 2, Russian media reported the death of Mikhail Gudkov, who commanded the 155th Independent Guards Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet and served as Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy since March 2025.

Russia later confirmed that he was killed in the Kursk region along with another officer, Nariman Shikhaliyev. Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako reported that Gudkov was carrying out his duties as an officer together with his subordinates.

It is worth noting that Gudkov was in charge of separate units of the 155th Brigade in the Kherson direction and was characterized by strict management methods. According to media reports, he may have been involved in the killing of civilians in the Kherson and Kharkiv regions.

In October 2023, Gudkov received a "gold star" from the hands of Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, who awarded him for courage and military valor.
