FT: Europe Has Three Camps On Security Guarantees For Ukraine

One group of countries is even ready to deploy their troops.

The member countries of the "Coalition of the Resolute" are divided on the issue of providing security guarantees for Ukraine, which also envisages the deployment of troops on Ukrainian territory.

This is reported by FT, citing its own sources.

According to two people familiar with the discussions, the coalition is roughly divided into three groups.

One group is willing to deploy troops to Ukraine, such as Britain; another opposes it, such as Italy; and the majority, which includes Germany, has yet to be decided.

At the same time, an anonymous Elysee Palace official said countries willing and able to provide security guarantees have completed the technical work.

"Today we have enough contributions to be able to tell the Americans that we are ready to take over, provided they take over," the official said.
