A passenger flight traveling from Oslo to the northern Norwegian town of Bardufoss was forced to turn around due to a drone in Norway on Sunday night.

At 23:30 local time, Norwegian Airlines confirmed: the flight traveling from Oslo to Bardufoss was forced to turn around.

"The flight from Oslo to Bardufoss was forced to turn around due to the discovery of a drone," a Norwegian spokesman told NRK.

The airport in Tromsø was temporarily closed in this regard.

According to Flightradar, the Norwegian plane turned around at 20:47. At the same time, another plane had already left the airport at 21:15.
