Poland Took To The Skies With Fighter Jets

Ground-based air defense systems and radars were put on the highest alert.

On the night of September 28, Polish and allied air forces operated in Polish airspace. The aircraft were raised in connection with the activity of Russian long-range aviation striking the territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were brought to the highest level of alert. This was reported by the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces.

In accordance with existing procedures, the Operational Commander of the Polish Armed Forces activated the forces and means at his disposal. Duty pairs of fighter jets were put in the air, and ground-based air defense and radar reconnaissance systems were put on the highest alert.
