Special services are checking the connection of the find with the Russian Federation.

In Estonia, a local resident found a piece of drone debris on Saturday morning in the Luitemaa nature protection area in Pärnu County, ERR reports.

Preliminary information suggests that it is a part of a large drone that may have been swept ashore from the sea.

The Security Police (KAPO), the Police and Border Guard Board and the Rescue Board are working on the scene to gather evidence as to how the part of the foreign drone ended up on the Estonian coast and under what circumstances it fell into the sea, according to the KAPO press service.

There is currently no information confirming that the drone was in Estonian airspace or crashed here.

The drone reportedly did not contain explosives. However, the KaPo is verifying the circumstances of the incident as part of criminal proceedings launched in 2022 to gather evidence of Russian aggression against Ukraine.
