The police have opened proceedings.

On the night of September 26, two unknown drones with flashing lights were spotted in Sweden. Police have opened proceedings.

According to SVT.

The flight of suspicious drones was recorded in the sky over the Karlskrona archipelago in Sweden, where the country's main naval base is located.

Local residents of the islands of Sturkjo and Türkjo reported the flights of suspicious vehicles. Law enforcers who arrived on the scene were also able to record one of them.

What investigators say

According to duty investigator Mattias Lundgren, it was a large drone similar to those previously spotted over Denmark and Skåne. According to him, the vehicles were glowing with green and red lights.

The Operations Center confirmed that at least two drones were involved. Police have already started proceedings under articles of violation of aviation law and the law on the protection of facilities.

Despite numerous eyewitness accounts, no drones have yet been seized. There are also no suspects in the case.

Investigators do not rule out that these events may be linked to recent incidents in Denmark and Norway, where drones were seen over Kastrup airport.

The Air Force F17 Command and the Navy said they had not received any official reports of the incident.
