Drones Paralyzed Aalborg Airport In Denmark For The Third Time

Copenhagen police have received hundreds of calls from locals reporting drones spotted in the sky.
Aalborg Airport in Denmark was temporarily closed on the evening of September 25 due to another sighting of unknown drones in the airspace.
This was reported by Flightradar24 and Danish TV channel TV 2.
Airport officials said that the safety of passengers and staff remains a priority, so any attempts by drones to enter the flight zone are taken as seriously as possible.
So flight KL1289 returned to Amsterdam and SK1225 from Copenhagen was canceled.
"We closed the space at 23:40. We had been working there in a heightened capacity all day and it was our officer who noticed the suspicious object," explained North Jutland Police Duty Officer Kristian Tilsted.
Copenhagen police said they have received hundreds of calls from locals who have also reported seeing drones in the sky.
Duty officer Jesper Frandsen emphasized that all signals are being checked, although he acknowledged that the number of calls has increased significantly since the high-profile media coverage. According to him, witnesses are being questioned in detail to distinguish a real drone from an airplane or even a bright star.
Police also urge eyewitnesses to capture suspicious objects on video and send the recordings for further verification.
By the way, this is the third case in the past month when unknown drones have caused traffic restrictions at Aalborg Airport. The Danish authorities emphasize that they are investigating the source of the drones and their owners.
Aalborg Airport has resumed operations for now, but the authorities reserve the possibility of temporary closure in case of repeated violation of airspace.
Experts note that the appearance of drones near civilian airports is a serious threat to aviation security. Such cases have already led to flight delays and even accidents in other European countries.
