US State Department Approves Sale Of Guided Missiles To Germany

The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of AMRAAM cruise missiles to Germany for $1.23 billion, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), which is part of the Pentagon.

The agency specified that under the deal, Germany will receive 400 air-to-air missiles, components, encryption systems, training equipment, as well as support in operation. RTX Corporation will act as the main contractor.

The DSCA noted that the deliveries are aimed at strengthening Germany's defense capabilities under the F-35 fighter jet program. Also, according to the agency, the implementation of the solution will enhance NATO's ability to plan operations.
