In case of "border closures or other unforeseen circumstances".

Poland once again urged its citizens, staying in Belarus, to leave the country immediately. Such a recommendation is contained in the message of the Polish Embassy in Belarus on the opening of the border from September 25.

"The Embassy reiterates that in connection with the worsening situation, the ongoing war in the region and repeated arbitrary arrests of Polish citizens, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends to refrain from any travel to the Republic of Belarus," reads the message.

The diplomatic mission stressed that "in case of a sharp deterioration of the security situation, border closures or other unforeseen events, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland urges its citizens to immediately leave the country. In particular, the passenger border crossing "Brest - Terespol" has been opened.

Before that, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that in case of aggravation of the situation on the border with Belarus, the government of the country "will not hesitate" to close the border crossings again.

The border was closed on September 12 in connection with the "growing number of provocations from Russia and Belarus" and the joint military exercises "West-2025".
