Gasoline shortages are reported in Moscow, Leningrad, Ryazan, Nizhny Novgorod and a number of other regions and throughout the Far East, where gas stations are already limiting gasoline sales or selling only diesel.

The main cause of the crisis is a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian refineries, which have led to the loss of up to 20% of refining capacity.

The government is considering options for rationing fuel consumption, including the return of the coupon system.
