Aalborg Airport is closed.
Aalborg Airport in northern Denmark has been closed due to drones in its airspace.
It was reported by Reuters citing the North Jutland Police on social network X.
The first report of unknown drones in the skies above Aalborg airport came around midnight.
"Drones have been spotted near Aalborg airport and the airspace is closed. Police are on the scene, investigating," the police of the administrative region of North Jutland said in a social media post on X.
A spokesman for the airport confirmed in comments to Reuters that Denmark's Aalborg airport is now closed due to drones in its airspace.
At the same time, he declined to comment on the number of drones.
He said four flights had changed their arrival and departure times, including two SAS planes, one Norwegian and one KLM.

Local media quoting South and South Jutland police said drones had been spotted near three more airports - in Esbjerg, Sjonnerbordse and Skridstrup.
Danish F-16 and F-35 fighter jets are based at Skridstrup airbase.
Drones in the skies over Europe
Just two days earlier - on the evening of September 22 - several unknown drones had violated Danish airspace. Copenhagen Airport was shut down for almost four hours.
The next morning the drones left the area on their own and the airport was restored.
Danish police later reported that the drones had been flown by a "competent operator."
The next day - on the night of September 23 - operations at Gardermuen Airport in the Norwegian capital, Oslo, were halted. The cause was also drones.
In Denmark, they do not rule out a Russian trace in the drone provocations, as Russian drones have recently invaded the skies of Poland and Romania.
