The AFU Defeated Russian Tor-2 SAMs Worth $50 Million Using An Innovative Solution

One SAM was destroyed and the other was substantially damaged.

Operators of the Unmanned Systems Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UFS) destroyed two Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

The footage of the work of pilots of the 412th Regiment Nemesis UFS was published in the Telegram channel of the unit.

"Operators of the 412 Regiment carried out another PPocide of the enemy, using an innovative solution, the details of the operation of which are not disclosed," the SBS noted.

The strikes reportedly destroyed one Russian Tor-M2 SAM system, while the other received significant damage. The total cost of two such systems is about $50 million.

What is known about the Tor-M2 SAMs

The Tor-M2 is a short-range surface-to-air missile system designed to operate as part of an echeloned air defense. The radius of interception of air targets is up to 15 kilometers.

The Tor-M2 system is used to protect Russian troops and facilities from Ukrainian aircraft, missiles, drones, as well as to protect medium and long-range air defense systems S-300 and S-400.
