Peskov tried to guffaw.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin remains ready for a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said. However, he named a condition for such a meeting. Peskov noted that without preparation, such a meeting would be "a PR action doomed to failure."
At the same time, Peskov expressed genuine bewilderment as to why Zelensky does not want to come to such a meeting in the Kremlin.
"Why not come if you are open to dialog," the Kremlin mouthpiece wondered.
He added that the Ukrainians offer Russia meetings in countries that "are unacceptable to us - Switzerland and Austria."
Peskov did not ignore Trump's statement that Russia is a "paper tiger":
"Russia is not a tiger in any way, and there are no paper bears."
