Putin will be forced to sit on the UN Security Council or some other platform and seek a truce.

In case there is no war in the skies, Russia will not be able to continue fighting on the ground.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this, RBC-Ukraine reported, citing a speech at the UN Security Council.

In his speech, the head of state gave one example of how war can be stopped by force. In particular, he noted strengthening defenses against Russian attacks.

"If we can strengthen our airspace with a joint system to counter Russian missiles and drones, it will force Russia to stop its air attacks, because everything can be shot down," the president said.

Zelensky emphasized that in such a case, Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin would be forced to sit on the UN Security Council or another platform and seek a truce on the ground.

"If there is no war in the sky, Russia will not be able to continue fighting on the ground. I have talked about this with President Trump and other leaders," the head of state added.
