Zelensky said Ukraine was able to de-occupy 360 square kilometers. As well as capture more than 1,000 Russian soldiers.

"Our soldiers over the last month occupied 360 kilometers and surrounded 1,000 soldiers, of course we want to exchange, but in any case we need our soldiers," Zelensky said.

The U.S. president said he has great respect for the fight Ukraine is waging.

"Ukraine is now very successful in stopping the powerful Russian army. We have great respect for the fight that Ukraine is fighting. It's just amazing," Trump said.

The US president was also asked about the biggest progress in ending the war since his last meeting with Zelensky.

"The biggest progress is that the Russian economy is in terrible shape right now. It's collapsing. Frankly, Ukraine is doing a very good job of stopping this very large army (Russian, - ed.)," the US president said.

The journalists asked Trump if he still trusts Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

Trump said he would give an answer in a month.

The US president believes he can influence Hungary to stop buying Russian oil.

"I think Orban will stop buying Russian oil if I talk to him. I will talk to him," he said.

Trump also said in his meeting with Zelensky that NATO countries should shoot down Russian planes if they invade their airspace.
