The expert predicted the consequences.

The destruction of enemy Be-12 "Chaika" amphibious aircraft by Ukrainian intelligence indicates that Ukraine is moving to a new level of war at sea.

"Kyiv24".

"We see that the war at sea is unfolding, and we have already seen a new stage of this war. I mean, this is when we bragged about our surface drones, which, like surface boats, could sail off with the means of destruction, or were themselves packed with explosives and actually blow up any such ship, or used as a platform," he said.

According to the expert, we saw that they could be used to hit mainly helicopters that were flying at low altitude, patrolling the waters of the Black Sea, approaches to ports, piers, and storage bases for watercraft.

He emphasized that our intelligence detected and destroyed enemy vehicles that were supposed to prevent the effective use of underwater Ukrainian drones.

"Now we see a new level. That is, these amphibious airplanes in general are designed to fight even submarines. They were supposed to be a safeguard against the successful use of our underwater drones," Kuzan explained.

The expert added that after the defeat, this main tool for fighting submarines is no longer usable.

"Of course, they still have a few more, but we must realize that this is old enough equipment, that is, it is from the Soviet era. And each unit cannot be at sea all the time, and even more so it cannot be in working condition all the time. It has to undergo some technical maintenance," he explained.

The head of the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation Sergey Kuzan said this on air "Kyiv24".
