ISW analysts revealed the details.
Ukrainian troops likely struck high-ranking Russian officials in an attack on occupied Crimea on the night of September 21-22.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported.
"Russia's Defense Ministry said on September 22 that Ukrainian troops struck a resort area in occupied Crimea, killing two people and wounding 15 others. The head of the occupation authority in Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, said on September 22 that Ukrainian troops struck a sanatorium in occupied Foros, Crimea," the report said.
Analysts drew attention to reports from several Russian sources who indicated that a closed private party was held at the sanatorium and that high-ranking Russian officials, possibly including military officers, were present during the strike.
A separate strike on an airfield near occupied Kacha was confirmed. Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate said two Be-12 maritime patrol aircraft and an Mi-8 helicopter were destroyed, which geolocation footage also confirmed.
