How Many F-16s Does Ukraine Need For Offensive Operations?

A military expert gave a figure.

The air forces of the AFU, thanks to F-16 fighters, effectively shoot down the Russian aircrafts launched by the occupants against peaceful Ukrainian cities during massive attacks.

Ukraine needs significantly more F-16 fighters to use these aircrafts during offensive operations. Military expert Sergei Grabsky said this on the air of "News Factory".

The expert noted that all F-16 fighter jets received by Ukraine are in use.

"They are working. How effective are they? Take maps of Russian missile strikes on targets, and you will be surprised that these targets are somehow stubbornly the same. They are Vasilkov, Bila Tserkva, Starokonstantinov, Kolomyia, Lutsk. I am not afraid to name them. Everyone knows the names of these airfields," Grabsky noted.

He added that especially Russian invaders attack Starokonstantinov, because it is the stronghold airfield network of Ukraine.

The expert noted that data on the number of aircraft in Ukraine are seriously hidden.

In his opinion, if you know the capabilities of individual airfields, then you can roughly calculate how many airplanes can be on how many airfields. And if the enemy does not know this, he strikes at random.

"Sometimes in the style of black humor we ask: why do not we shoot down missiles to Starokonstantinov? - Why shoot them down? They fly into empty space, because there is nothing there anyway. Let them fly. Why should we use (air defense) missiles on them," Grabsky emphasized.
