Chisinau says it is ready for the next stage of European integration.

Moldova and the European Union have completed the procedure of bilateral screening, i.e. the analysis of legislation for compliance with the requirements of accession to the EU.

About this on Facebook wrote Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Moldova Kristina Gerasimov.

Gerasimov said Moldova underwent the screening procedure for 15 months, during which "more than 100,000 pages of legislative documents" were analyzed.

"The last section analyzed was Title 33 - 'Financial and Budgetary Provisions'. It marks the transition from reforms and technical processes to assuming the role of a full EU member," the Moldovan deputy prime minister added.

It should be noted that the screening was completed shortly before the September 28 parliamentary elections in Moldova, which the incumbent government positions as a vote for the country's European future.
