The EU intends to adopt the 19th package of sanctions in the near future.

The European Union (EU) intends to adopt the 19th package of sanctions against Russia in the near future, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said. According to him, the restrictions have been agreed with the United States.

"A new large-scale package of sanctions has been agreed with the United States for the first time since Donald Trump returned to power," the minister said.

The 19th package is scheduled to begin on September 26. The European Commission proposes to accelerate the rejection of Russian LNG for a year, blacklist 118 more tankers, and ban transactions with Rosneft and Gazprom Neft.
