In Minsk, a sentence was announced for a 21-year-old resident of the city, who was accused of evading the army, said the state agency "Minsk-Novosti".

In April 2025, the guy was summoned to appear at the military commission for medical examination. He did not come to the examination, as he was on sick leave. The young man didn't show up at the military enlistment office and after he improved his health, but simply left the country.

A criminal case was initiated against the citizen of Minsk, and after returning home he was arrested. He fully admitted his guilt.

The court found him guilty of evading military service and imposed 360 hours of community service.

The sentence has not entered into force and can be appealed.
